Community Comes Together, Week 4

For week four of our Community Comes Together campaign, we invited local youths to send in a poem. Daniel, age 8, penned this ode to one of New Jersey’s most popular fruits. Click Read More for more submissions for this week. Next week’s project will feature recipes.

My last day

The ocean,

Blue-green,

Rippled,

As if the sun

Hit it.

The blue-green water

Pulled

Me in

As if trying

To sweep me

Away.

On my last day,

It was as if

The blue-green

Was pulled right

Out,

As if it was

Given

To the sun

To glisten.

Virus virus go away,
Don’t come back another day,
So we can all come back to play,
Virus virus go away
