To the Editor:

As co-chairs of the 25th annual spring benefit for Planned Parenthood Association of the Mercer Area, we thank the hundreds of enthusiastic supporters who attended our luncheon at The Hyatt Regency Princeton, as well as our benefit committee and the Planned Parenthood staff and volunteers. With more than 600 guests filling the room to capacity, it was a tremendous success in raising funds to support the services and programs of Planned Parenthood Mercer.
We were pleased to have as our speaker Anna Quindlen, the best-selling author, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, and social critic. She was an insightful and engaging speaker, and she has been an inspiring champion for women’s health and rights, and the work of Planned Parenthood, for many years. Everyone from staff to volunteers to first-time attendees raved about Ms. Quindlen’s thoughtful speech.
