Question of the Week: “What are you looking forward to reading this summer and will you be reading it as a book, tablet, or e-reader?”
Sydney: “I’m looking forward to reading The Fault In Our Stars by John Green because I’ve heard so much about it and it’s been made into a big movie and everyone says it’s such a great book. I also want to read some other John Green books like Looking for Alaska.”
Madeleine: “I’m looking forward to reading some Nietzsche this summer which I don’t get a chance to read during the school year. I just got a Kindle Paperwhite which I’m really excited to use.”

Hallie: “Right now I’m reading, Yarrow by Charles de Lint. I much prefer to read books than e-reader or those sorts of things. For school I’m going to read The Catcher in the Rye. I hope to read The Hunger Games and my father has a lot of books he would like to recommend. We read a lot of books.”Bill: “My preference would always be hard books as opposed to the digital stuff. I am also a writer, which is part of it, among other things. As far as reading, I bounce back and forth from pretty eclectic topics, gardening, journals, fantasy, sci-fi and classics. Right now I’m working my way through some of Arthur C. Clarke’s novels and Alan Dean Foster, my two “go to” authors.”—Hallie and Bill Hoffman, Belle Mead
“Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. I‘ve downloaded it on to my computer already, I will read it there. But, I do prefer normal books over digital format.”—Joan Ricart, Princeton
“I just took a book out of Firestone Library called Peculiar Institution by David Garland. It’s about the death penalty in America. I do have a Kindle that I won on a lucky draw but I’ve not figured out how to use it yet. When I learn, I hope to make the transition. Although it appears that I really need a physical book to be able to read.”—Julu Katticaran, student at Princeton University
Kara: “The Fault In Our Stars in book format. I don’t like reading on iPads or that sort of thing because it’s annoying. I have to read my summer reading stuff but I’m not really looking forward to it.”David: “I don’t particularly enjoy reading but when I do, it’s usually school mandated and that would be almost exclusively in book format. I’m going to have to read my school reading for language arts. I do enjoy reading about random science topics like in National Geographic magazine.—Kara Beneorfe and David Pe, West Windsor
