“A Studebaker from 1927.  We own one and keep it at our home in Narragansett, Rhode Island.  Every Sunday we drive it and go get ice cream.  My wife Heather and I got married and drove off in a 1929 Franklin, which happens to be the same model as this beautiful car here today.”

John: “Best place in the world for a Sunday drive has to be along the Brandywine River in the spring or fall.  In my opinion there’s nothing like it.  My favorite car happens to be a 6-cylinder, air-cooled 1912 Franklin.  It was made in Syracuse, N.Y., and is called a Torpedo.  It’s a great touring car and I’ve owned it for about 15 years and have done a lot of work to get the motor running smoothly.”Joyce: “I’ve been to so many great places with this car, but I love Lancaster County and the countryside there is just stunning.
I like when we pack a picnic lunch and just drive out and find a nice spot to stop and relax and have lunch.”— John and Joyce Rendemonti, West Chester, Pa

Vita: “We used to have a Buick that was like a huge ship that we used to just drive from gas station to gas station.  Now, I have an R series Volvo and I just love it.  It’s very speedy and comfortable but also safe and reliable.  It’s my favorite car I have ever owned.”

“I’d probably say this car here, the 1912 Overland.  The first historic car tour I went on was in 1991 with my father and we were in this very car. Now I’m with my son Jacob and he’s here on his first tour, and we just really enjoyed traveling up here and taking rides on nice country roads.”

Ray: “ This is my favorite car.  It’s a 1911 Ford Torpedo.  We’ve owned it for about five years now and we bought it in North Carolina.  It’s mostly in good condition although it badly needs an engine rebuild, which I have yet to do.  But it really gets us from place to place when we want it to.  It’s very fun and a great touring car.  We’ve been to Texas and Michigan with it.  Yesterday we ended up at the beautiful Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, which we didn’t know about, and we loved it.  It was especially great because the car got us there and it always seems to take us to new places, wherever we go.”— Ray and Nancy O’Hanlon, Putnam Valley, N.Y.
