To the Editor:

The Institute for Advanced Study has shown extraordinary sensitivity to both the community and to the historic site of the Battle of Princeton in bringing forward its plan for faculty housing. This week its amendment to that plan goes before the Planning Board [September 18]. The amended plan is virtually identical to the one originally approved unanimously in 2012. The Institute deserves our thanks for its patience and responsiveness. It now deserves the wholehearted support of the Planning Board and the Princeton community it serves so well.
