Congressional Candidates at Library Oct. 30 Responding to Anti-Corruption Resolution
To the Editor:
Our Community will have the timely opportunity to view the award winning documentary film that shines a light on how campaign money from special interests can influence both our electoral process and our policies. This event, sponsored by the Princeton Public Library, the N.J. District 12 Chapter of Represent.Us, and the Coalition for Peace Action, follows on the July approval by the Princeton Council of a resolution in support of tough, new anti-corruption laws to transform how elections in this country are financed and how lobbyists influence the political process. On Thursday, October 30, at the Princeton Public Library Community Room (doors opening at 6:30 pm), the public is invited to view the film, to participate in a Q & A discussion, and to hear our Congressional candidates respond to the Princeton resolution. You are urged to attend this voter education event prior to the November elections as this is an issue that affects every citizen.
