Princeton Education Foundation Event Brings Princeton Public School Community Together

To the Editor:

On October 12, the world famous Harlem Wizards came to town, sponsored by the Princeton Education Foundation (PEF). They delighted a sold-out crowd of children and adults with their special brand of tricks, hoops and alley-oops! The Foundation’s purpose for the event was to bring the Princeton Public School community together for the first ever cross-district event to raise community spirit and awareness for the need to support public education. All proceeds from the event benefit PEF’s Teacher Mini-Grants program, which provides the funds to bring to life the innovative ideas of faculty and staff for the benefit of our children and our schools. To see pictures from the event, visit our website at www.pefnj.org.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we want to gratefully acknowledge all of the volunteers who supported us on game day: PEF PHS Sophomore Community Service Volunteers; Rider University Service Fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega — Pi Rho; our National Anthem singer from the PHS Choir — Britney Ishibashi; Bill Madden; Aman Shergill; referees Scott Feldman and Scott Singer; and, most importantly, faculty and staff representing all six schools, the PEF All-Star Team starring Coach Goldy — Scott Goldsmith, Jason Burr, Tina Delillo, Martha Friend, Nick Heller, Ted Holsten, Katelynn Karas, Rick Kelly, Sara Leta, Patty Manhart, John McCann, Sonia Moticha, Cob Powlen, Ben Samara, Jordan Ullman, Diane Van Driesen, John Ward, Randy White, and Matt Wilkinson.

Thank you to the Princeton Community attending the Harlem Wizards Event. By showing your amazing community spirit, you are helping PEF further our mission to promote excellence and innovation in the Princeton Public Schools.
