It Won’t Be Long Before It’s Gone

Hospital Site

According to the Office of the Engineer, demolition at the old hospital site should take another one to one-and-a-half months, weather permitting. The section of the seven-story former hospital building closest to Witherspoon Street is due to be removed on January 16, 17, and if needed January 18 and 19, weather permitting. During this time, when schools are not in session, Witherspoon Street will be closed between Franklin and Birch Avenues. A progress report on the work along with a description of the planned closure of Witherspoon Street will be provided at the Princeton Council Meeting on Monday, January 12. Any questions or concerns should be directed to the Office of the Engineer at (609) 921-7077 or at cceballos@princetonnj.gov. (Photo Courtesy of the Princeton Department of Community Development)
