From the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan to the Top of the Standard in Los Angeles to Lola’s Trailer Park in Fort Worth, Tex., musicians are banding together for The Concert Across America to End Gun Violence on Sunday, September 25th. At Trinity United Methodist Church in Ewing there will be a full day of music, food, speakers, art, and peace, as part of this national effort. 

Musicians include York Street Hustle, Jeffrey Gaines, Corey Glover from Living Colour, Kevin John Allen, Kevin Toft, Miche Braden, The Williamsboy, The May Darlings, Joe Miller and Kuf Knotz, Craig Smith, and Brian Jacobs.

Artworks Trenton is coordinating an art exhibit and live painting with work centered around the message of peace and non-violence. Submissions of art at all skill levels, fitting to the theme, can be made via their website at http://artworkstrenton.org.

Pop Anthology is
coordinating a film festival that will include short films from independent filmmakers from New Jersey and Pennsylvania. They will also be screening 91%: A Film About Guns In America, a movie that features victims of gun violence sharing their stories of loss, pain, and their heroic search for hope.

New Jersey based advocacy groups will also provide materials, information, and speakers throughout the day. Among them are Moms Demand Action — New Jersey, Mercer County Million Mom March, Tre’ Devon Lane Foundation, and Gays Against Guns — New Jersey Chapter. Mercer County Board of Elections will also be on hand conducting voter registration.

The Concert to End Gun Violence, Ewing is free and open to the public. It starts at noon on Sunday, September 25 at Trinity UMC, 1985 Pennington Road in Ewing (across from The College of New Jersey.)
