Princeton Adult School Lecture Series to Begin

The Princeton Adult School (PAS) will kick off its 2016 lecture series on Monday, October 10 at 8 p.m. in the Friend Center Auditorium, William and Olden Streets, with Princeton University Philosophy Professor Gideon A. Rosen speaking on “Ethics, Politics and Social Media.” 

Co-sponsored by the PAS and the University’s Community Auditing Program, the lecture series will explore the theme of communications from philosophical, scientific, aesthetic, psychological, and technical perspectives.

Subsequent Monday evenings will feature David Bellos, Princeton Professor of French, Italian, and Comparative Literature on “Translation and the Meaning of Everything,” October 17; Rutgers Associate Communication Professor Vicki Katz on ”Family Communication in the Digital Age,” November 7; Princeton Zoology Professor Daniel I. Rubenstein on “Animal Communication,” November 14; Assistant Princeton Psychology Professor Jordan Taylor on “Motor Strategies: Why Humans Can Learn New Skills Quickly,” November 21; International Correspondent Deborah Amos on “Talking on the Radio,” November 28; Princeton Psychology PhD Adele Goldberg on “Constructing Meaning: Beyond Words,” December 5; and Princeton Senior Theater Lecturer and Lewis Center Chair Michael Cadden on “Why We REALLY Go to the Theater,” December 12.
