Westminster Faculty Recital Series at Bristol Chapel

Westminster Conservatory’s faculty recital series continues with a performance by pianist Marvin Rosen on Sunday, January 8 at 3 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton. Admission is free.
Titled Contemporary Piano Miniatures by Women Composers, the program will include works by more than 20 composers from around the world including Victoria Borisova-Ollas, Rosemary Duxbury, Carlotta Ferrari and many others.
Dr. Marvin Rosen is a passionate supporter of new music and has presented many lectures and recitals. Has recorded 2 CDs of piano music of Alan Hovhaness and a CD of Contemporary Music for Piano 4 Hands. He is a member of the board of New York Women Composers. In 2013 he received the Distinguished Musician Alumni Award from The College of New Jersey. He is also the host and producer of the popular ASCAP Award-winning radio program “Classical Discoveries” on WPRB (103.3 FM). He earned a bachelor’s degree in music and music education from The College of New Jersey, a master’s degree in musicology from the Manhattan School of Music, and a doctorate music education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Rosen is a member of the piano faculty at Westminster Conservatory where he also teaches music history for the Honors Music Program.
