Four Local Bands at Concert Under the Stars

The Historical Society of Princeton (HSP) will host its sixth annual Concert Under the Stars fundraiser on Saturday, June 10, from 6:30–10 p.m. at the Updike Farmstead. This year’s event will feature live performances by four local bands: Stony Brook Bluegrass Band, Gravity Hill, East Coast Ambush, and The Goods. Jammin’ Crepes will serve a dinner menu prepared with local ingredients. Local craft beers will also be available.

Stony Brook Bluegrass Band will open the event, with their unique fusion of music from across the Appalachian Region. Stony Brook’s repertoire combines traditional bluegrass with re-interpretations of country and rock tunes from the members’ collective youths.

Gravity Hill blends an eclectic mix of late ’60s pop, folk rock, punk, post-punk, ’90s alternative, and contemporary dance rock.

East Coast Ambush is an acoustic project formed by local musicians, playing a sprinkling of original material within a variety of classic rock and jam band covers. The Goods have played spirited shows since 2001, combining selections from the Stones, Faces, The Band, Zeppelin, and Humble Pie in rock clubs around New York.

Net proceeds from A Concert Under the Stars support the Society’s mission to serve as a hub for cultural enrichment, experiential education, and the stewardship of collections and places. HSP shares its collections and programs in history education with diverse audiences, aiming to enhance community vitality and build historical literacy — cornerstones of healthy civic culture.

Tickets to the event are available online at www.princetonhistory.org, or by phone: (609) 921-6748 x105.
