Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Fox & Roach Realtors has announced a special installation of landscape photography, “When Trees Talk and Rivers Sing,” by Robin Resch in their offices at 253 Nassau Street. The exhibition is on view through May 12, and is open to the public daily from 9 a.m.  to 5 p.m. and on the weekend by appointment. An artist’s reception will be held Thursday, April 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.

“When Trees Talk and Rivers Sing” is an installation of nearly 40 landscape photographs taken by Resch across the country. In her landscape work Resch seeks to explore the power of nature and the duality of its ephemerality and continuum. Often it is the force of nature, a crashing stream, rolling fog, or rushing wind that alters and abstracts the image. Her intent is to share the emotive experience of the fleeting moment, that of the landscape as we pass through it — an analogy of the ephemeral nature of our own lives and the vulnerability of our planet.

Some of these images were previously presented as a special installation at NRG’s headquarters in 2019.

A Princeton-based photographer, Resch was the Arts Council of Princeton’s Anne Reeves of Artist-in-Residence from 2020 through 2021. For her residency, she continued work on her ongoing portrait project “Taking Pause,” which culminated with an installation of photographic banners in Dohm Alley last year.

Her work has been exhibited at Princeton University’s Lucas Gallery, the Pringle Gallery in Philadelphia, Design Within Reach, Princeton Project Space, the Arts Council of Princeton, and the Nassau Club. Her photos have been published in the New York Times, the Witte de With Cahiers, the Rotterdams Dagblad, Italian GQ, and Princeton Magazine. Resch has maintained an active portrait studio since 2003. In 2012, she was honored to be the exclusive campaign photographer for the Princeton fundraising event with first lady Michelle Obama.
