ART OF SERIES: Horticulture is just one of the interests celebrated in the Arts Council’s ART OF series. Led by local leaders in art, wine, and more, ART OF events are designed to push attendees’ perceptions of creativity.

The Arts Council of Princeton introduces ART OF, a series of free and ticketed events curated to introduce attendees to the endless creativity and innovation in the Princeton community. From collecting art to tasting wine, ART OF events partner with local leaders in their respective fields, making for a social outing that will leave participants inspired.

Every dollar raised from ticketed ART OF events will benefit the Arts Council’s longstanding community outreach programs, public art initiatives, and year-long community events and projects. Tickets are available now at artscouncilofprinceton.org.

While new events will be added regularly, the current ART OF lineup is as follows:

ART OF Horticulture: Exploring the Landscape at Grounds For Sculpture — Sunday, September 18, 3 to 4:30 p.m.: Join Grounds For Sculpture Horticulturist Janis Napoli on a tour of the grounds and learn about the wide variety of native and exotic trees and plants that grace the 42-acre sculpture park and museum. Tickets are $45.

ART OF Play — Saturday, October 1, 10 to 11 a.m.: This event will engage children to develop and expand their imagination; dexterity; and physical, cognitive, and emotional strengths. Preschool teacher Bentley Drezner will host a fun and collaborative workshop for children and their caregivers. A light coffee and bagel breakfast will follow. Free.

ART OF Wine: Spain vs. France – Sunday, October 9,  5 to 6:30 p.m.: Join Terra Momo’s Carlo Momo and wine expert Lionel de Ravel as they battle to determine which country, Spain or France, offers superior wines. Enjoy light refreshments and wine-related banter. Tickets are $125.

ART OF Karima Muyaes — Saturday, October 22, 6 to 9 p.m.: Celebrate the work of internationally renowned Mexican artist Karima Muyaes. A hosted dinner at Michelle and George Lambros’ art-filled Princeton home will feature an artist talk from Karima, whose work in on view in the Arts Council’s Solley Lobby Gallery. Tickets are $125.

ART OF People & Stories / Gente y Cuentos — Wednesday, October 26, 6-7:30 p.m.:  Join the Arts Council and People & Stories/ Gente y Cuentos to read aloud from Mexican author Angeles Mastretta’s collection, Women with Big Eyes, followed by a directed discussion in both English and Spanish. Enjoy Mexican refreshments courtesy of La Lupita. Tickets are $25.

ART OF Festive Florals with Moonshot Farm — Thursday, December 1, 6-7:30 p.m.: Join Rebecca Kutzer-Rice, owner of Moonshot Farm, in creating the perfect holiday wreath or centerpiece to help kick off the season. All Moonshot wreaths are wire/plastic-free and made of fully compostable materials. While gaining new creative skills, you will also learn why Moonshot classes and events are a community favorite. Tickets are $100.
