Another Resident Gives Big Thumb’s Up To Compostable Recycling Program
To the Editor:
We LOVE Princeton’s compostable recycling program! We tried composting ourselves and found it to be too messy and restrictive. The new program is so much better! They can process weeds, pizza boxes, tea bags, chicken bones, corn husks and cobs, fats, oils, waxed paper, orange juice containers, and much more. For $65 per year, we received a street side container with wheels, a sink side container, and a pack of compostable bags. Easy. And we know that our compost costs Princeton $45 per ton to process, while our much-reduced trash costs $125.
