GFS Hosts Guild For Early Music Festival

Visit Grounds for Sculpture (GFS) for the 12th Annual Festival of the Guild for Early Music on Sunday, October 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Performances by regional ensembles include Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, and Early American music in both vocal and instrumental forms. This year’s festival theme is “The Zodiac and the Night Sky” in recognition of the event’s 12th year. As always, the WWFM Classical Network will introduce the performers. The festival will begin with a lecture-demonstration of early music performed by Lewis Baratz, host of WWFM’s Well-Tempered Baroque. The opening concert will be performed by the youth ensemble, Stretto. Admission to the festival is free with paid admission to the park.
