Santa Fly-In Scheduled For Morning of Christmas Eve
For the past 41 years, Princeton Airport will host Santa Claus on the day of Christmas Eve. Santa is scheduled to arrive at the airport on Route 206 at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 24. Parents are advised to bring children prior to that time.
Cocoa and cookies will be served and folksinger Pat McKinley will lead the audience in holiday songs starting at 10:30 a.m. Parents who would like to have a gift waiting for their child should bring a wrapped gift with the child’s name on it, in large print, to the airport by December 17. In order for a child to participate, parents are requested to bring a gift for the less fortunate as well.
Gifts must be new and unwrapped and will be collected by Mercer County Board of Social Services. Donations from non-participants are welcome, as are personal checks made out to FoodBank Network of Somerset County. Gifts can be deposited in the “chimneys” in the lobby daily between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Santa will distribute gifts in the order in which they were received. Children can have their picture taken on Santa’s lap. Admission is free. Visit www.princetonairport.com for more information, or call (609) 921-3100.
