Time to Stop Blaming Guns and Figure Out Why They are Getting Into the Wrong Hands
To the Editor:
The recent shooting at Art All Night is not a useful argument for more “common-sense gun controls” as New Jersey already has some of the strictest gun control laws on the books.
This tragedy reminds us that guns are already in our communities and in the hands of the wrong people.
We need to take a hard look at gang violence in our cities. Additionally, we need to question how repeat offenders are able to obtain early release from prison and subsequently illegally possess weapons.
Let’s take a moment to stop blaming guns and figure out why guns are getting into the wrong hands.
