MUSIC AND NATURE: Cellist Michelle Djokic, the artistic director of Concordia Chamber Players, is featured in an online performance October 4.

In response to the pandemic, the Manzanita Music Collective was formed during the summer. Artistic Director Michelle Djokic invited violinist Edwin Huizinga to become a “quaranteam” with her and explore all of the repertoire for violin and cello.

A documentary of sorts, made of footage by young filmmaker Hamilton Hansen, will be streamed Sunday, October 4 at 5 p.m. The film is a musical telling of these two musicians navigating the difficulties of social distancing while safely bringing live music to small groups of friends on a tiny porch.

The free performance includes arrangements of three preludes from Bach’s Well Tempered Klavier; movements from the duos for violin and cello by Ravel, Kodaly, and Hermann; and the entire Duo by Schulhoff.
