The Christopher Durang comedy, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike won the Tony Award for “Best Play” at this year’s Tony Award celebrations. The play, which was a McCarter Theatre commission, was nominated for six awards. Durang and McCarter Theatre Artistic Director Emily Mann accepted the award at last Sunday’s celebration.
