The Princeton-based Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) has announced that it is planning two events today, January 3, to mourn the death of the 3000th U.S. soldier in Iraq, which occurred this week. The first event will be a rally at noon on the State House steps in Trenton, where the names of New Jersey soldiers killed in action will be read. Car-pooling from Princeton to this event will leave the Princeton Shopping Center (at Eckerd Drugs) at 11:15 a.m. The second event will be a candlelight vigil at 5 p.m. in Palmer Square in Princeton. Princeton Borough Council and Princeton Township Committee will both hold special reorganization sessions this Thursday, January 4, for the purposes of swearing in for new elected terms, and naming new and renewed appointments. Township Committee will hold its reorganization at Township Hall at 6 p.m., with Borough Council's session taking place at Borough Hall at 6:30 p.m.
