Congressman Rush Holt (D-12) will host a telephone town hall meeting with Central New Jersey residents on Tuesday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m. The one-hour meeting will provide participants with an opportunity to ask questions and share views on the challenges facing New Jersey and the country, including the economy, health care reform, energy sustainability, retirement security, the situation in the Gulf, and anything else that may be on their minds. To participate, constituents should complete an opt-in form on the front page of Holt.House.Gov. They can call 1-87-RUSH-HOLT if they have questions or problems opting in.

Due to inclement weather, the Midsummer Marketing Madness Showcase sponsored by the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 15 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the green in Palmer Square. The event is free and open to the public with 70 local vendors, food samples from area restaurants, prizes, networking opportunities, and music.

PlanSmart NJ (PSNJ) and the New Jersey Regional Coalition (NJRC) will sponsor the program “Building One New Jersey: State Planning for Inclusion, Sustainability, and Economic Growth,” on Friday, July 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the multi-purpose Room of the Frist Campus Center at Princeton University. The sponsors are looking forward to “a dynamic interchange on the fiscal, economic, and social crises facing the State today,” including the presentation of “a new, powerful agenda of reform” to address these issues. The featured keynote speaker is Ronald Sims, Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. The cost for the event, $50 for PSNJ and NJRC members and non-profit representatives, and $100 for non-members and corporate representatives, includes a continental breakfast and box lunch.
