Mercer County has begun its annual fall leaf pickup program. Through the month of November and early in December, the County’s Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will visit each of Mercer’s 13 municipalities to sweep leaf piles from curbsides. This program covers County-owned roadways only. Crews will not pick up leaves mixed with twigs, branches, stones or brush. Do not park vehicles in front of leaf piles because crews will be unable to reach the piles. To see a complete schedule of leaf pickup dates visit www.nj.gov/counties/mercer/departments/transportation/highways/leafpickup.html.

As part of its Share What You Wear! program, Princeton Community Church will accept clean, usable items on Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church parking lot, 2300 Pennington Road (off Route 31 just north of 1-95 interchange). The clothing will be distributed by HomeFront, a nonprofit agency dedicated to ending homelessness in Central New Jersey. Children’s wear, accessories, and clothing for job interviews are particularly needed. For information, email julwillmot@aol.com.
