Jean Gunkel, Mana Bhatt and Karen Frezzaof Princeton Junction; Phyllis Branin of Lawrenceville; and Dot Messineo of Skillman; are among those honored as Volunteers of the Year by the New Jersey Unit of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D). Princeton residents honored for years of service or for having donated at least 100 hours of time over the past year include: Jim Amick, Nancy Amick, Burt Bauman, Julia Bernheim, Jeanne Calo, Toby Cowen, Joanne Elliot, Yulia Fishchuck, Jerry Freedman, Irwin Gordon, Amy Kerlin, Al Klein, Edith Neimark, Harry Pinch, Judith Pinch, Naomi Rose, John Schivell, Don Sheasley, and Dick Williams.

Princeton resident Abigail L. Rose has joined the Henry J. Austin Health Center, an ambulatory care center with three facilities in Trenton and one in Hamilton Township. Ms. Rose is a graduate of MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine (now Drexel University College of Medicine) where she was awarded the Mark A. Blatt Memorial Prize for excellence in Family Medicine, named Medical Humanities Scholar, and received a merit scholarship for academic achievement. She also received an M.P.H. from Harvard University School of Public Health. She served as intern and resident at Lawrence Family Medicine in Lawrence, Mass, and was elected chief resident by her peers. Her experience in the public health environment includes the US Peace Corps in Cameroon, West Africa; Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Washington DC.
