Morven in May: A Garden Party for the Friends of Morven will be celebrated on Friday, May 1, from 5 to 7 p.m., with proceeds to benefit Morven. The party will feature festive drinks, fresh herbal hors doeuvres, music by harpist Mary Bryson, and a silent auction of horticultural rarities. The Phriends of Phyllis Marchand invite the community to the Phyllis Phete on Wednesday, May 13, to celebrate the accomplishments of former Princeton Township Mayor Marchand, who retired at the end of 2008, for her 22 years of community leadership on Princeton Township Committee. The Phete will consist of a free late afternoon outdoor celebration and dedication of the Municipal Plaza in honor of Mayor Marchand from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., and a 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. champagne toast at the Nassau Inn, at $35 per person. The evening event will include heavy hors doeuvres, light roasting of Phyllis, and the announcement of the Phyllis Marchand Leadership Speakers Series.
