The Auxiliary of the University Medical Center at Princeton is currently accepting donated items that will be sold at its 91st annual White Elephant, Art, Antiques, and Rummage Sale on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27. Donations may include gently used items such as small pieces of furniture, art, linens, books hardware, sporting goods, small electronics, bric-a-brac, clothes, kitchenware, holiday decorations, and toys. Donations are tax-deductible. All proceeds from the fall sale will benefit the Emergency Departments Trauma/Critical Care Room in the new hospital. Items may be dropped off at the Auxiliarys storage facility at 905 Herrontown Road on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon, and Tuesday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m., through September 19. The Princeton-based Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) will hold a press conference featuring survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 109 of the State House on Wednesday, August 5. The press conference will be in conjunction with five events CFPA is having in the region to commemorate the 64th anniversary of the Hiroshima (August 6) and Nagasaki (August 9) bombings in 1945.
