Adele D. Danley, 83, of West Windsor, died August 23 in the Hamilton Continuing Care Center, Hamilton.
Born in Princeton, she was a lifelong West Windsor resident.
She was employed for over 40 years as a waitress at the Annex Restaurant.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, Princeton Junction. She was also a member of the West Windsor Keenagers and Church Corner Brighteners, and a volunteer for the Girl Scouts.
A devoted wife and mother, she was an excellent cook who also loved antiques and yard sales. Always willing to help those in need, she opened her home to many over the years. Over the past 50 years, she enjoyed spending time at Glen Lake, N.Y. with her entire family.
She was the daughter of the late Osborn E. and Susan Smeaton Stout, sister of the late Muriel Skiles and Betty Haden, and grandmother of the late Tracy M. Hulick. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Frank Danley Jr.; a son, Frank Kurt Danley; three daughters, Terrie L. Mansmann, Penny J. Gravatt, and Holly M. Dansbury; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 27 at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton. Clergy from the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck will officiate. Burial will be in Penns Neck Cemetery, West Windsor.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, August 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
