INVITATION TO THE BALL: Dust off your fans and manners for the highlight of Patriot’s Week — a Colonial Ball that offers a step back to the 18th-century with period music and callers. Members of the general public as well as reenactors in formal period garb (encouraged but not required) will mingle at this lantern-lit dance on Friday, December 29, from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Masonic Temple, Front and Barrack Streets. For those in need of dance instruction, the Germantown Country Dancers will demonstrate the steps before the start of the ball.
