Burns-Funkhouser. Sarah Graham Burns, daughter of Dr. John and Anne Burns of Princeton, to Timothy Andrew Funkhouser, son of Gary and Claire Funkhouser of Rockville, Maryland.
The bride–to-be teaches first grade at the West Briar Elementary School in Vienna, Virginia. She is a 2001 graduate of Princeton High School and has a BA from Dickinson College and a MEd from George Mason University.
Mr. Funkhouser is a graduate of Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. and has a BA from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is an assistant vice president at Branch Banking and Trust in Arlington, Va.
The couple met while playing in the World Adult Kickball Association league in Washington, D.C. A July 2010 wedding is planned.
