Doris M. Clayton

Doris M. Clayton, 80, of Lawrence Township, died February 9 in St. Francis Medical Center.

Born in Hamilton Township, she resided most of her life in Lawrence.

She retired in 1984 as a principal clerk stenographer with the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation after 25 years of service.

She was a member of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church and was the recipient of a Presbyterian Women Honorary Life Membership.

Wife of the late Robert I. Clayton and sister of the late Charles W. Shive, she is survived by two sons, Robert Clayton of Washington Crossing, Pa., and Donald Smith of Lawrenceville; three sisters, Joyce Seabridge of Lawrenceville, Betty Carter of Jupiter, Fla., and Audrey Yost of Seymour, Conn.; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be Thursday, February 12 at 11 a.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrence- ville, with the Reverend Nina Peck-Reeder of Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joseph J. Cocciolillo

Joseph J. Cocciolillo, 79, a lifelong resident of Rocky Hill, died February 7 at the University Medical Center at Princeton.

Born in Princeton, he was a graduate of Princeton High School.

He retired from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority after 35 years of service.

He was proud of being a charter member and former captain of the Rocky Hill First Aid & Rescue Squad. He was also a member of St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church in Skillman.

Husband of the late Ida Mae (Bogart) Cocciolillo, he was also predeceased by a brother, Frank. He is survived by two daughters, Joyce Ewart of Trenton and Cheryl Kelley of Mt. Holly; a son, James Ewart of Pennington; two brothers, Arthur and Robert, both of Rocky Hill; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on February 10 at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Burial was in Rocky Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of The Kimble Funeral Home.

Erick Morterud

Erick Morterud, 70, of New Egypt, died February 8 in The Community Medical Center, Toms River.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a lifelong Griggstown-Belle Mead resident before moving to New Egypt three years ago.

A U.S. Army veteran, he was employed by Abgold Builders in Belle Meade.

He was a parishioner of the Bunker Hill Lutheran Church.

Son of the late Fynn and Laura Morterud and husband of the late Ann Marie Sitko Morterud, he is survived by two sons, Richard of Elkton, Md., and Dennis of Jackson; four daughters, Donna Thoenig of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., Kathy Barker of Apple Valley, Calif., Patricia York of Hopewell, and Laura Crawford of New Egypt; a brother, Lloyd of Rapid City, S. Dak.; a sister, Ann Marie Spotts of Harrisburg, Pa.; and ten grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 11 at 7 p.m. at the Bunker Hill Church in Griggstown, with the funeral service at 8 p.m. A service will also be held Thursday, February 12 at the Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell.

Bettie P. Myers

Bettie Peddie Myers, 80, of Arlington, Va., died of heart failure on January 31 at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. Before moving to the Sunrise retirement facility in Arlington, she had lived in Princeton for 20 years.

Born in Houston, Tex., she was a graduate of the Hockaday School in Dallas.

During the Second World War she married L. Hunt Myers, a pilot in the Army Air Corps.

In Princeton she was a Girl Scout leader and a volunteer for the Ladies Auxiliary at Princeton Hospital. She was a founding member of All Saints' Church where she headed the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Present Day Club and the Princeton Historical Society.

Predeceased by her husband in 1985, she is survived by a daughter, Jessica Myers Carlin of Glen Ridge; a son, J. Rodman of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Rodman Peddie of Houston; and a sister, Julie Gillespie of Galveston, Tex.

Services were held at Christ Church in Georgetown. Burial will be in All Saints' Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church, 31st and O Streets, N.W., Washington, D.C.; or to the American Heart Association.

Funeral arrangements were by the Robert J. Murphy Funeral Home, Arlington.

John Seeley

John Seeley, 79, of Princeton, died February 7 at the University Medical Center at Princeton.

Born in Newark, he had been a resident of Princeton for more than 40 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European campaign.

He was employed for many years with General Electric in Trenton.

An avid golfer, he was also a member of the Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad and American Legion Post No. 76.

Son of the late Sanford and Madeline Seeley, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Aurora (Lisi); a son, Jack of Belle Mead; a daughter, Patricia Clausen of Plainsboro; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

The funeral service and interment will be private. There are no calling hours.

Yulia Seneko

Yulia Seneko, M.D., 42, of Princeton, died February 5 at home.

She was born in Duysky Village, Russia.

She was a parishioner of St. Paul=B9s Church.

Daughter of the late Vadim Ugarova, she is survived by her mother, Raisa Ugarova of Moscow; her husband of eight years, David M. Seneko; a son, George of Princeton; and a sister, Ludmelia Ugarova of Moscow.

The funeral will be Friday, February 13, at 10 a.m. at The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Avenue. It will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Paul=B9s Church, 214 Nassau Street. lnterment will be in St. Paul=B9s Cemetery.

Friends may call on Thursday, February 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alberta Younge

Alberta Younge, 97, a resident of the Princeton Care Center, died February 7 at the University Medical Center at Princeton.

Born in Princeton, she was a lifelong resident who was educated in the Princeton public school system.

A former member of Mount Pisgah AME Church, she later converted to Catholicism, becoming a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Predeceased by her parents, Lucy and Henry Dowers, and her husband Ellis Younge, she is survived by her nephews Robert Williams and Walter Dowers of Princeton, George Dowers of Lawrenceville, John Williams of Aurora, Colo., and Walter Smith of Chicago; and a niece, Bernice Wrenn of Philadelphia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., on Thursday, February 12 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 214 Nassau Street. Calling hours will be at the church from 9:15 a.m. until the service. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
