Engagement


Michael Fontenot and Elissa Carleton

Carleton-Fontenot. Elissa Baker Carleton, daughter of Curtis Randall Carleton and Nancy King Carleton of Potomac, Maryland, formerly of Princeton and Lawrenceville, to Michael Joseph Fontenot, son of Beverly Ann Horn and the late Stuart Joseph Fontenot of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The bride-to-be attended St. Andrews Episcopal School in Potomac, and graduated in 1996 from the Lawrenceville School. She received her bachelor of arts in psychology in 2000 from Kenyon College and her law degree from Northeastern University Law School in 2003. She is an attorney in Washington, D.C.

The prospective groom graduated from Baton Rouge High School and Louisiana State University. He spent 13 years in the Army National Guard and is an Iraq veteran.

Mr. Fontenot and Ms. Carleton both work at the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Washington.

A July wedding is planned in Kiawah, South Carolina.

Joanne Poole and Steven Reese

Poole-Reese. Joanne Louise Poole, daughter of Thomas and Jane Poole of Princeton, to Steven Phillip Reese, son of Gloria Mayer of Troy, Michigan, on May 10, 2008 in the A.D. Bruce Chapel of the University of Houston. The Rev. James Reese of Brighton, Mich., a brother of the groom, officiated at the ceremony.

Grace Ellen Benn of Los Angeles, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jeannine Bardsley, Patricia Cancellare, and Pamela Loomis, all of Houston, Texas. Junior bridesmaids were Abby Meredith Benn and Caroline Jane Benn of Los Angeles, nieces of the bride.

Steven Reese Jr. and Matthew Reese of Knoxville, Tenn., sons of the groom, were the Best Men. Groomsmen were Michael Reese of Houston, a brother of the groom, and John Allman of Franklin, Tenn.

Mrs. Reese, a marketing executive with Hewlett-Packard in Houston, is a graduate of Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Princeton and Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pa. Mr. Reese, a graduate of the University of Houston, is the Information Technology Director for the Houston Astros Baseball Club.

The reception was held at the Union Station at Minute Maid Park in downtown Houston, home of the Astros.
