Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes has announced Mercer County and the One-Stop Career Center will sponsor their largest ever Youth Job Fair on Wednesday, June 11, at The War Memorial in Trenton. Job Fair Youth Employability Seminars will be conducted from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, and Monday, June 9, at the Mercer County One-Stop Career Center, 26 Yard Avenue, at the New Jersey Unemployment Office, one block from the Trenton Train Station.
Princeton Animal Control has begun a Township-wide dog and cat census. As required by State regulation, census team members will be visiting homes to count the number of dogs currently owned, and to check if they are licensed and vaccinated for rabies. Although there is no cat licensing on the State or local level, the department also wants to determine how many cats are owned in the Township. Members of the Census team include the Animal Control Officer, and two male college interns named Ravee and Iuri. For additional information call (609) 497-7608.
Princeton scientist Freeman Dyson, Professor Emeritus at the Institute for Advanced Study, will be the guest speaker at the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce Monthly Membership Luncheon on Thursday, June 5 at the Marriott Princeton Hotel and Conference Center, 100 College Road East. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with a networking reception, followed by a buffet luncheon and Professor Dyson’s speech. The Princeton Regional Board of Education will hold a workshop on Tuesday, June 10, at 6 p.m., at the Valley Road Administration Building. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss action plans for seeking alternative funding. The meeting will be open to the public.
