Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

“How have you found the traffic and parking in Princeton lately given road conditions and construction?”

“Alexander Road is closed. So everyone is going to Washington Road and traffic is heavier (not as bad as Times Square) but it takes much longer to get to Princeton.”

Jose Azar, Princeton

Fran: ”Traffic is very bad coming and going to Princeton. Traffic can be backed up bumper to bumper, up to 40 minutes with the current construction on Alexander Road. It takes less time to take alternate routes, if you know the area.” Bill: “There are very few handicapped parking spots in Princeton Borough.”

Fran and Bill Engler, West Windsor

“The Alexander Road construction has been really tough. I missed the train the other day because of the traffic backup.”

Martin O’Brien with daughter Cartee, Princeton

“Going in and out of Princeton can be ridiculous. Traffic trying to get out to Wegman’s on Quaker Road can be backed up, half way. I am trying to figure out another way to go.”

Stephen Kimm, Skillman

“There’s a lot of traffic and not enough parking spots in Princeton. It’s really hard to find parking and it takes a lot of time.”

Michael Chonka, Princeton

“I have found that it can take up to 45 minutes on Washington Road to get into town with the construction on Alexander Road.”

Kimberly Webber, Princeton
