Alice May Satterfield, 88, of Princeton, died June 23 at her home.
Born in Princeton, she was a lifelong resident.
A graduate of Rider University, Ms. Satterfield was an employee at the Institute for Advanced Study and Princeton Regional Schools as a switchboard operator and receptionist.
She was a lifetime member of Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon and Chairperson to the church committee. She was also the commissioner for the Housing Authority of the Borough of Princeton for 26 years.
The daughter of the late Annie VanZant Moore May and William Henry May; and sister of the late Elizabeth Moore Taylor, Mary Moore Sperling, James Wayman Moore, Bryan VanZandt, and William May. She is survived by daughter Shirley Satterfield; two granddaughters; and a great granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held July 1 at 11 a.m. at Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at the Princeton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church-Paul Robeson House.
