The Special Education PTO of Princeton Regional Schools will sponsor its annual Education Symposium on Saturday, March 6, from 8:15 a.m. to noon in the John Witherspoon Middle School Library. The program is free and preregistration is not required. Workshops will include “The Transition Parent: What You Should Know and What You Should Be Doing Now,” presented by Jane M. Sheehan; and “Executive Function Deficits: Organization, Planning and Coping Strategies for Home and School,” presented by Jane Milrod and Katherine McGavern of CHADD, and Camille Maxwell and LaVerna Albury of Princeton Regional Schools. Mercer County will host an information session, “Get a Good Night’s Sleep!” on Thursday, March 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at County Connection, Route 33 at Paxson Avenue in the Acme Shopping Center, Hamilton. Guest speaker Rochelle Zozula, Sleep Medicine Specialist at Capital Health, will focus on identifying sleep disorders and their impact on overall health. U.S. Representative Rush Holt (D-12) will host a telephone town hall meeting with Central New Jersey residents on Tuesday, March 9 at 7:30 p.m. The one-hour meeting will provide participants with an opportunity to ask questions and share views on the challenges facing New Jersey and the country, including the economy, health care reform, energy, retirement security, and anything else that may be on their minds. To participate, constituents should complete an opt-in form on the front page of Holt.House.Gov.
