University’s “This is Princeton” Show Applauded by Arts Council Beneficiary

To the Editor:

Many thanks to the Princeton University Student Government Social Committee and the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students for the unbelievable “This is Princeton” performance at Richardson Auditorium last Friday evening. The Arts Council of Princeton is proud to be the beneficiary of this event.

We were humbled by the abundance of talent, delighted by the obvious joy of the many performers, and impressed to think about how many thousands of hours of study and practice enabled that level of accomplishment on the stage. We can’t stop talking about Brittany Haas ’09; we are still laughing about The Triangle Club’s “Old Folks Home” song; and we can’t wait to see Naacho perform again. Rebecca Gold ’09 and Zach Zimmerman ’10 ran the event flawlessly, amusing us and highlighting the talent on stage by unearthing the lack of it in the audience, especially when the audience was asked to participate in an impromptu talent show.

Thank You!

MICHAEL LARICCIA
