The Board of Trustees of the Princeton Public Library will meet on Tuesday, May 17, at 5:30 p.m. in the library’s second floor conference room. The meeting is open to the public.

The Princeton High School Class of 1970 will hold its 40th reunion on Saturday, May 14 at 7 p.m. with a catered dinner and live dance band at the Morris Farm, 5 Caton Circle, in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Tickets in advance are $55 per person, $100 per couple, and $70 each at the door. The price includes dinner, wine, beer and live music. A cash bar will also be available. The Princeton Parks Alliance invites area residents to a Princeton Park Pickup on Sunday, May 15, from 1 to 4 p.m., at two locations: Harrison Street Park (entrance on Harrison, opposite Sergeant Street, or at the end of Aiken Avenue), and the Sigmund Garden on Hamilton Avenue (across from Westminster Choir College). The cleanup will be overseen by Princeton Parks Alliance members Andrew Koontz and Polly Burlingham, and will feature refreshments provided by Parks Alliance member Pam Hersh. Ace Hardware, located in the Princeton Shopping Center, is donating shovels and gloves. Picker-uppers may bring their own tools; attendance, however, is the key. The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton (UUCP) will hold its annual spring sale to benefit area charities on Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 50 Cherry Hill Road. Sale items will include toys, books, clothing, art, jewelry, antiques, furniture, electronics, sporting and outdoor equipment, and home furnishings. The “Across the Street” four-man band will entertain, and barbecue fare, salads, and gourmet desserts will be available. All proceeds go to UUCP Social Outreach Grants, which are awarded to local charitable organizations each spring. This year’s recipients included Coalition for Peace Action, Crisis Ministry, Enable, Hyacinth, Isles, Meals on Wheels (Red Cross), National Association for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) of Mercer County, People and Stories, PCV Group (Princeton Community Village), Planned Parenthood, Princeton Senior Resource Center, Stony Brook Millstone Watershed, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), Trenton Environmental Education Field Trips, Womanspace, Your ReSource, and the YWCA of Trenton.
