Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

“How do you feel about the decision not to release photos of Bin Laden’s body?”

“I agree with the decision, I think it would have angered and endangered people abroad and in the Middle East and probably set off flames of violence.”

Jim Gibbon, Princeton

“I can understand why people are curious: I can just see people putting these gory photos on a tee shirt. I just don’t want to see it. I agree with the decision not to release the photos.”

Jane Hilder, Alexandria, Va., visiting family in Princeton

“There is no need to see it; we don’t need to promote the gruesomeness. I think some people would like to see the photos, but afterwards it would be like why did I ask?”

Jeff and Krista Stefanisko with daughter Ella, Hamilton

“I don’t think we should be gloating; we don’t need to cause more problems by publishing those photos.”

Jerry Mandzij, Princeton

“I think it was the right decision, I think that photos of a dead person are [overly] dramatic.”

Bob Mehlman, Princeton
