Free legal advice on immigration issues, as well as answers to general legal questions, will be offered to all interested people at Ask-a-Lawyer, on Wednesday, June 3, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the second floor Conference Room at the Princeton Public Library. 2008 Grammy Award Winner Terrance Simien and his Zydeco Experience Band will present a benefit concert for the W.E.B. DuBois Scholars Institute Princeton Scholarship Fund on Friday May 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Princeton Regional Schools Performing Arts Center. PRS elementary and middle school bands, with guest artists Nick Antoine and Olive Gile, will open the concert. Tickets are $20 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors. A Tri-Faith Walk co-sponsored by the Princeton Coalition for Peace Action on Sunday, May 31, from 2 to approximately 6:30 p.m. in Trenton will focus on enhancing mutual understanding and respect by sharing perspectives of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. At 1:30 p.m. there will be a presentation on Islam and peace at Masjidut Taqwa Mosque, 1001 E. State Street, followed by a walk (or drive) to the N.J. State Museum, 225 W. State Street, for a presentation about Judaism and peace. The final stop will be Trinity Cathedral, 801 West State Street, for a presentation on Christianity and peace. The afternoon will conclude with an interfaith potluck from (approximately) 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Dishes may be dropped off at Trinity Cathedral starting at 1 p.m., or brought directly to the supper. Vegetarian dishes are preferred, and participants are asked to bring a small sign listing ingredients used.

Mercer County has several openings on its various boards and commissions, and County Executive Brian M. Hughes asks interested citizens to consider serving in one of these volunteer positions.
