Betsy Parkyn and Calder Cruikshank

Parkyn-Cruikshank. Betsy Lee Parkyn, daughter of Linda and David Parkyn of Mechanicsburg, Pa., to Calder Willingham Cruikshank, son of Lila Cruikshank of Pennington and Ernest Cruikshank of Hopewell.

Ms. Parkyn received a B.A. from Bates College in 2000 and her master's in art history from Rutgers University in 2003. She works at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts in the Art of the Americas department.

Mr. Cruikshank, a 1996 Princeton Day School graduate, received a B.A. from Bucknell University in 2000. He worked for Johnson & Johnson in Skillman before moving to Boston, where he is now pursuing his MBA at Boston University.

The couple met in Madrid, Spain, during their junior year of college while participating in the Hamilton College semester abroad program. They will be married at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, on January 7.
