Kenneth Lieberthal, Director of the John L. Thornton China Center and a senior fellow in Foreign Policy and Global Economy and Development at Brookings Institute, will present a public lecture titled, “U.S.-China Relations and the Issue of Climate Change” on Monday, November 30, at 4:30 p.m. in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall, on the Princeton University campus. Mr. Lieberthal served as special assistant to President Clinton for national security affairs and senior director for Asia on the National Security Council from 1998 to 2000. His government responsibilities encompassed U.S. policy toward Northeast, East, and Southeast Asia. This event is co-sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the China and the World Program. It is free and open to the public.

Former three-term U.S. Senator and Knicks Hall-of-Famer Bill Bradley will discuss “Sports and Politics” on Monday, December 2, at 7 p.m., at the Rutgers University Douglass Campus Center, 100 George Street, New Brunswick. Preferred seating is $20 in advance; attendance at a pre-lecture reception with Mr. Bradley, plus preferred seating, is $50.

The Special Education PTO will meet On Thursday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the library of John Witherspoon Middle School. The featured speaker will be Associate Director of Behavior Therapy Associates Michael C. Selbst, a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is co-founder and Executive Director of both Hi-Step (formerly Stepping Stone) and Weekend for Improving Social Effectiveness (W.I.S.E.) programs. Mr. Selbst will talk about “Social Skills and Stigma: How Parents Can Help.” A question and answer period will follow the presentation.

Womanspace, Mercer County’s provider of services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, will hold its Annual Holiday Book Fair and Gift Wrap sale at Barnes & Noble-MarketFair on Friday, December 11, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Visit www.womanspace.org to download a voucher to present to cashiers, so that a portion of any purchase price will be donated to Womanspace.

Vendors are needed to sell craft or gift items at The Princeton First Aid Squad Ladies Auxiliary’s second annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 12, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Squad Building, 237 North Harrison Street. An eight-foot table, provided by the Auxiliary, is $8, with set-up at 8 a.m. Soups, sauces, chili, cookies, and breads for the upcoming holiday season will also be available.
