Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

“How are you getting ready for the new school year?”

“We’ve done our shopping. We’ve been working on the back to school homework packets. We’re trying to have as much fun as we can before school starts.”

Yolanda Pierce (mother) and Ally Stonum (daughter), Princeton

“I’m finishing the math packet homework. I need to buy a new calculator. And I’m trying to figure out which ‘houses’ at JW that my friends are going to be in this school year.”

Iona Cinnie, Princeton

“Basically, studying and reading to get ready for school. I went with my mother to sign up for school. We just moved to Princeton from California.”

Evan Fu, Princeton

“We did a really long math packet to review what we learned last year in math. And, for Language Arts we had to read two books. And for fun we’re participating in the Princeton Recreation kids triathlon.”

Logan: “I’m preparing for school by trying to study online.” Louise: “We just got the class list sent to us online yesterday. We now have the list of supplies we need to buy. We’re trying to gather information and figure everything out.” Ken: “We did a lot of stuff earlier, and have already taken care of the clothes shopping.”

“I’m starting a new school. We had a work day at school. I went with my dad and we worked there. We got desks. Tomorrow, my mom is taking me to get school supplies for the year.”

Fergus Cinnie, Princeton
