IT COULD HAVE SPREAD: The fire that consumed a car on Quaker Road last Saturday was burning in the roadside brush when crews and equipment from all three Princeton companies arrived on the scene. The firefighters were able to contain the blaze before it spread farther into the field. Although the vehicle was a complete loss, no one was injured.

Bill Enslin, a member of both the Princeton Township Committee and the Regional Planning Board of Princeton, offered a terse assessment Monday as to the need for additional senior housing in the community: "There are no units of market-rate senior housing in Princeton."

Princeton Township was given the opportunity to absorb its share of state-mandated affordable housing Monday night. But unlike Princeton Borough, which is faced with fulfilling its requirements in a municipality with little developable land, the Township appears to have more options.
