Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

“Would it ever come to a point when you would move out of Princeton due to increased taxes?”

“I hope not, but it could happen and if it did happen it would be a shame.”

Joe and Tink Bolster, Princeton

“Yes, I would consider moving because of the increased taxes over the last 25 years. It’s a big chunk of money and I’m not sure what I’m getting back for it. Considering places over in Pennsylvania, that are so much less expensive, it might make sense. But I don’t want to move and I don’t plan on moving.”

Rick Weiss, Princeton

“I don’t anticipate moving because of increased taxes. Taxes are tough but not unfair.”

Anton Lahnston, Princeton

“No, I’m not going to move. I’m not going to worry about something you can’t change. Too much worry and stress. I can’t worry about what the government is doing; the government can only go so far.”

Wanda Harvey, Princeton

“I would hate to have to move. My first goal would be to try to downsize before moving. And my personal goal would be to live in town where I could walk everywhere and live a healthy lifestyle.”

Shari Powell, Princeton

“I’ll pay the taxes as long as I can, I love Princeton! It’s too beautiful. I’m not moving.”

Giancarlo Squitieri, Princeton
