A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues
(Asked at Sundays event designating the Robeson house as Paul Robesons birthplace.)
Princeton is much bigger, with the physical change from the early part of the 20th century to the 21st century. I think if he were to walk around town today he would be amazed by the demographic changes. Bob Ellis, Ewing |
The town has developed and reached a point where it has been integrated, which Paul certainly didnt see when he was here. I think hed say: I am so pleased to see things moving forward but it still needs work. Donald Moore, West Windsor |
Vicki: I think he would be somewhat pleased at accomplishments of the future moving forward. Vicki and Jermaine Meisel, Lawrence |
The community is more diverse than he recalled as a child. Joan C. Davis, who lived in Princeton and comes to the Witherspoon Church every week |
We have a long way to go. Jim Floyd, Princeton |
He would be very pleased about the dedication of the house. I think he would be very pleased with the initiatives that we have going on at the Witherspoon Presbyterian church where his father was a former minister. In terms of the world, the more things change the more they stay the same. Unfortunately, [in view of] the things he stood for in terms of peace, we have wars going on of which he would not be proud. We have made progress but not enough. Karen Delk, West Windsor |
