A memorial service for Elizabeth Willey Samuels, who died December 9 in Boulder, Colorado, will be held on May 5 at 2 p.m. at Nassau Presbyterian Church."
Josephine D'Andrea, 92, of Princeton, died April 19 at the Medical Center at Princeton."
Born in Montreal, she was a lifelong resident of Princeton."
Known as "Peppy" by her many friends, she worked for more than 40 years at Princeton Labs and then at Carter-Wallace."
She was a tireless volunteer for many organizations throughout her life. She was named a life member of the Deborah Hospital for her fund-raising on behalf of the hospital; and was an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Paul's Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Princeton Elks, and the Red Cross."
A superb cook, she was known for her meatballs, sauce, and biscotti. Like her heart, her kitchen was open to all."
Preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Ernest P. D'Andrea, she is survived by two children, Ernest and Loretta; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren."
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated April 23 at St. Paul's Church. Burial was in St. Paul's Cemetery."
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Church, 214 Nassau Street, Princeton 08542."
Arrangements were by the Kimble Funeral Home. "
G. Ernest Dale Jr., 90, of Princeton, died April 20 at home, following a long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis."
Born in Trenton, he was the son of Gertrude Reynard and George Ernest Dale. He attended the Prospect Hill School in Trenton, Princeton Country Day School, and Kent School, and graduated from Princeton University, class of 1939, where he was a member of Ivy Club."
During his business career he worked for the W.R. Grace Co. exporting industrial equipment to South America. He subsequently moved to Princeton and worked as an assistant to the Director of Project Matterhorn, an Atomic Energy Commission research program administered by Princeton University. He later joined the George H. Fuller Co. as construction manager before becoming a project manager for Rockefeller Center, Inc. during the Center's expansion along the Avenue of the Americas."
He was an enthusiastic sportsman who was happiest in the great outdoors. His sports included skiing, hunting, shooting, fishing, tennis, and western riding. He was a member of the Nassau Club, Pretty Brook Tennis Club, Nassau Gun Club, and the Princeton Club of New York."
Following his retirement he became active in the community as a member of the Princeton Borough Historic Preservation Review Committee, and as a longtime board member of the Historical Society of Princeton."
He is survived by his wife, the former Ann Dickinson, and numerous cousins."
Interment will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date."

Paul E. Honer, 43, of Princeton, died April 15."
Born in Worcester, Mass., he received a bachelor of arts degree in economics and accounting from Rutgers University in 1986 and a master's degree in business administration from Rider University."
He was the president and CEO of P.K. Edwards and Associates, an executive search firm in Princeton."
He is survived by his wife of seven years, Michelle Hartle Honer; two daughters, Katelin Rose and Gretchen Michelle Honer; his parents, Deacon Paul E. and Ruth Ann Carter Honer Sr.; and a brother, David Honer."
The funeral was April 20 at the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Paul's Church."
Burial was private."

Howard Menand Jr., 92, a longtime Princeton resident, died April 9 at Stonebridge in Montgomery. Before moving to Stonebridge this past August he had resided at Meadow Lakes in Hightstown for 14 years."
Born in Troy, N.Y., he attended Albany Academy in Albany. His education continued at Princeton University, where he graduated with honors in 1936. His children were happy he was able to attend his 70th reunion at his alma mater this past June."
In July, 1936 he married Lucy Colpitts at Big Moose Lake, New York."
After Princeton he went on to Harvard Business School, graduating in 1938. For the next eight years he worked for the Westinghouse Company, during which time he and his family lived in Pittsburgh, Springfield, Mass., West Virginia, and Ohio."
In 1947 he joined the faculty at Princeton University where, for the next 30 years, he taught business administration and served as a faculty advisor to thousands of Princeton students. In 1955 he was appointed Assistant Dean of the Engineering School. He served on the Faculty Committee on Admissions, Commencement Committee, and the Committee on Examinations, Standings and Schedules."
During the 1950s he was a Civil Defense Director."
He also served on the graduate board of the Triangle Club, where he had been the business manager during his undergraduate years. The Princeton classes of 1965 and 1978 honored him."
Mr. Menand was president of the Community Planning Associates and director of the Central New York Wire Corp."
He was a member of the Nassau Club and Princeton Club of New York, and was listed in Who's Who In the East. Of great importance to him in his early years, as a lover of nature, was his achievement of becoming an Eagle Scout. His love of jazz, particularly the sounds of the Great Band era, also gave him great pleasure."
Predeceased in 1994 by his wife Lucy, he is survived by his children Mary (Molly) Jacobs of Princeton, Walter Menand of Cleveland, Nelle Knox of Rochester, N.Y., and Howard Menand III of Townsend, Mass.; a brother, Louis Menand of Boston, Mass.; ten grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren."

Winifred Murphy of Princeton died April 15 at Merwick Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by her family."
Born in Trenton, she graduated from Cathedral High School, where she was an outstanding athlete."
She started her career in fashion merchandising with Goldberg's Department Store, continued in the fashion industry, and retired at the age of 80 from Epstein's Department Store."
She recently co-founded, with her daughter Bernadette, the Murphy Scholarship Foundation in memory of her late daughter, Mary Ann. The foundation works to provide scholarships to young people who show a love for learning and commitment to helping others."
She was loved and admired by her family, who felt her greatest gift to them was her deep devotion and love for her Catholic faith. With her husband, Edward, she not only contributed to St. Paul's Church for nearly 60 years but also helped raise capital funds for the construction of the current church building."
Daughter of the late John and Mary Ann Cavanaugh, sister of the late John, William, James, and Marion Cavanaugh, wife of the late Edward J. Murphy, and mother of the late Mary Ann Murphy, she is survived by her daughter Bernadette Murphy; her son in law Michael Schwartz; and three grandchildren."
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated April 21 at St. Paul's Church. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamilton."
Memorial donations may be sent to Murphy Scholarship Foundation, 27 Leavitt Lane, Princeton 08540."

Emma A. Rozas, 93, of Princeton, died April 16 in the Stonebridge Care Center, Montgomery Township."
Born in Witherbee, N.Y., she had lived in Princeton since 1954."
She retired after many years as a secretary with the New Jersey Department of Defense in Belle Mead."
She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Rocky Hill; a member for more than 50 years and a former treasurer of Princeton Chapter O.E.S. No. 91; and a former member of the Women's Club of Princeton."
Predeceased by her husband, Alfred G. Rozas, and her siblings Frank Alvarez and Erminia Volwieder, she is survived by nieces and nephews and a special friend, Olga Hasty."
Graveside services were held at Rocky Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. William Shutter, pastor of First Reformed Church of Rocky Hill, officiating."
