Yes We CAN! Food Drives will be at the Pennington Quality Food Market this Saturday, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to collect food for the Crisis Ministry food pantries. Food drive volunteers will also be participating that same day at Communiversity, where patrons of their booth are invited to create their own buttons. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad will sponsor a Spring Flea Market at the squad house, 237 North Harrison Street, on Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Set up will be from 7:30 to 9 a.m., rain or shine. Over 20 vendors will be selling books, household goods, kitchenware, furniture, clothes, art, toys, electronics, and more. Eight-foot tables are available for rent at $15 each. Art Pride New Jersey will host Arts Day on May 5 to offer updates on federal and state funding for the arts, and present its annual meeting with keynote speaker, Ben Cameron, Arts Program Director for the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. in the first floor gallery of 225 West State Street. Activities begin at 2 p.m. The day ends with a Meet the Speaker reception/refreshments at the NJ Restaurant Association at 126 West State Street at 3:45 p.m. and the Governors Awards in Arts Education at the 4:30 at the NJ State Museum Auditorium in the State Capitol Complex.
