Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

"What is your take on the presidential campaign and which candidate, if any, has impressed you the most?"

"I wish that the Democratic Party were not so divided with so many candidates, but right now, I would vote for a Clinton-Obama ticket."

Lydia Robinson, Longview Drive

"They are starting very early this year. It would be great to see the candidates get around to answering the really hard questions, and not just giving the packaged answers that they often do. At this time, I think Obama and Edwards are the outstanding candidates."

Renee Boatman, John Street.

"Am I the only one who finds the debates to be a bit absurd? Ten individuals who aspire to become arguably the most powerful person on this planet wait around for their 30-second chance to answer a question from a snowman? With that being said, I predict a Romney victory over Clinton next November."

Colin Vonvorys (with sons Aaron, right, and CJ) Mt. Lucas Road

"I think that the presidential election cycle is far too long. Too much time is devoted to the election and not enough time is given to improving our country. We should do it all in 90 days. I like Obama and Richardson."

Ted Deutch, Patton Avenue

"I think it would be wonderful if America would give a real chance to a woman candidate. Certainly other countries have had great women leaders, and now, when there are such cultural divisions, a woman president would make a very strong statement. I believe that Hillary Clinton has very strong credentials to be a great president: intelligence, White House experience, and leadership."

Lydia Frank, Riverside Drive
