Town Talk

A forum for Princeton residents to express opinions about local and national issues

Question of the Week:

“Have you noticed an increase in the price of groceries and has it affected your shopping habits?”

Rhoda: “Ask Henry, he does the shopping.” Henry: “I have certainly noticed price increases in certain food items, and that it has affected my buying in that I turn to using the stores’ brands whenever possible. If I find the stores’ products equivalent in value, I continue using them.”

Henry Isaac and Rhoda Kassof-Isaac, Skillman

“I have noticed increases in prices. They have not affected me in a major way, but I am careful to look for sales whenever available.”

Daniel Miglore, Princeton

“I don’t do much grocery shopping; however, people sometimes question prices — the rising cost of flour has caused us to raise our prices for scones, pastries, and other food products.”

Ariel Wenitsky, Princeton

“I watch out for how much you buy, not what you buy.”

Brian Frasier, Princeton

“Some things like milk have gone sky high, but I have to buy them. What can I do, I don’t like it, but I have to eat.”

Rona Huff, Princeton
