Rose A. Boccanfuso

Rose A. Boccanfuso, 73, of Princeton, died November 25 at the Princeton Care Center following a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Princeton.

She worked for more than 20 years in the housekeeping department at Nassau Inn. She was also an avid gardener.

Daughter of the late Carmine and Rose Boccanfuso, and sister of the late Frank, John and Anthony Petrone, she is survived by three daughters, Linda Shemeley, Louise Boccanfuso, and RoseAnn Boccanfuso; a sister, Ida Rigg of Florida; and four grandchildren.

The funeral services were private. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on December 17 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 901 Canal Pointe Boulevard.

Arrangements were under the direction of The Kimble Funeral Home.

Earl F. Cramer

Earl F. Cramer, 94, of Princeton, died December 12 at the University Medical Center at Princeton.

Born in Hopewell, he had lived in Princeton nearly his entire life.

He enjoyed visiting with friends on Nassau Street and playing the lottery.

The son of the late Frank and Mary (Whelan) Cramer, he was predeceased also by his brothers, George, James, and Thomas, and two sisters, Mildrid Landis and Doris Brabston. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 16 at St. Paul's Church. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.

There are no calling hours.

Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of The Kimble Funeral Home.

Richard H. Knight

Richard H. Knight, 80, of Los Angeles, Calif., died December 7, in Los Angeles, attended by his wife and five daughters.

Born in Gardner, Mass., he joined the Navy during World War II and was sent to Brown University to study electrical engineering. He graduated as the war ended and began a long career with New England Electric System. He designed power plants, substations, and microwave communications systems, eventually becoming chief electrical engineer for the company.

His passion was being outdoors. He built rock gardens and playhouses for his daughters at their home in Natick, Mass., and began a second career as an avid mineral collector.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille; his daughters, Debbie Cerulli and Cathy Knight of Princeton, Barbara Dye of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., Pattie Chester of Carmel, Ind., and Connie Wilson of Solvang, Calif.; a sister, Marnie Fougere of Concord, N.H.; and 12 grandchildren.

Services were held at the Wayfarers Chapel on December 9.

Marcia E. Wiedis

Marcia E. Wiedis, 76, of South Brunswick, died December 9 at home.

Born in New York City, she lived in Fairlawn and Maywood before moving to South Brunswick in 1965.

She received a bachelor of science degree from Hunter College, New York.

She retired in 1991 after more than 25 years as a registered dietician with the Medical Center at Princeton.

An excellent cook and voracious reader, she also enjoyed caring for people.

She was a longtime member of the American Dietetic Association.

She was predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Selma Schpetner; a sister, Jeanne Schpetner; and a son, Mark. She is survived by her husband, Robert; a daughter, Julie S. Wiedis of Princeton; a son, David, of West Chester, Pa.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on December 12 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Monmouth Junction. Interment was private.
